Acrylic paintings are a relaxation for me. I enjoy the free flow of paint as I apply it in wide sweeps and curves and I love the interplay of bright colours making the eye do extraordinary things. I use distortion and vivid colours along with layers of transparent paint as I do in my prints as I practice for my printmaking process. I make an effort to learn and apply colour theory more in my paintings and am practicing colour, design, and negative painting currently.
